The demo we did for Assembly 2008’s Real Wild competition, and came third. We got two AMD CPUs. The demo runs on Nokia’s S60 3rd Edition platform.
I did the music and design, my brother Peter did most of the coding. It was quite interesting to collaborate with him properly this time, instead of just doing the oldschool “give me graphics and I’ll do the rest” coder style demo design.
The “point”, if you can call it that, was to contrast the loud and distorted music with very clean, Swiss-influenced visuals, with an emphasis on typography. The idea of a “corporate” presentation came later, which the greetings part reflects. Perhaps predictably, people liked the greetings part the most. Which is good, because it was actually designed to be a vote catcher.
